The Speaker of the Year competition began in WA in 1957 named after Arthur Garvey, the founding member and first president of Rostrum WA in 1948. Enter the AGSOY for the opportunity to be the 68th name listed on our prestigious perpetual trophy.

$15 to attend heats on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, includes a light supper & refreshments. Heat held at Club 22 (Monday) has meal options at the venue. Please note: Separate Event Emails will be sent out for attendees for each of the Heats.
AGSOY SEMI-FINALS (if required) - Between 15th - 18th September - same topics/speech as the Heats (if you want)
AGSOY FINAL - Saturday 25th October (Venue tba) - 10 minute speech (warning at 8), new topics to be announced. Put the date in your diary!
